PSippr

Safety Center

PSippr is a peer-to-peer platform for adults (18+). There is no central server that stores your profile or messages, so most safety tools work on your own device. This page explains them and how reports are handled. It is also the PSippr safety policy.

Safety features reduce risk but cannot eliminate all online risks. If you are in danger, call the emergency number 112 (EU) first.

How to block a user

Open the person's profile and tap Block. Choose a reason — harassing, spam or fake profile. A blocked person can no longer contact you and disappears from your grid, chats and wall. You can review and undo blocks in the list of blocked users.

How to report a profile

Blocking with a reason is also a community report. When enough people report the same account, or a moderator confirms a report, the account goes on the spam list: it then only sees verified users, and the app marks it as being on the spam list so it cannot be contacted. Moderators are users the operator has given that role in the app. You can withdraw your own report.

How to report content or an incident

Use Report incident in the app: describe what happened and attach a screenshot. The report goes to the operator by e-mail. You can also write to psippr@psippr.org.

Muting and hiding

There is no separate mute yet. Use Block, or Hide a person from your grid. Photos can be set to hide after viewing.

Grooming and anyone who may be a minor

PSippr is for adults only. If you meet someone who seems to be under 18, or someone who tries to contact or exploit minors:

  1. Stop the conversation and block the account.
  2. Send a Report incident with a screenshot.
  3. Contact the police (112). Do not try to investigate yourself.

Sexual exploitation, threats and harassment

Emergency help in the app

The Emergency help board is a public notice board where people nearby can ask for help. It is not an emergency service. In an emergency always call 112.

Protection of minors

The app asks for a date of birth on first start and blocks anyone under 18; the date stays on the device. This is a self-declaration, not an identity check. More in the child safety policy.

Privacy and metadata

Your profile, photos and messages are kept on your device and sent end to end encrypted. When two devices cannot connect directly, a relay forwards the encrypted packets and sees only network metadata (addresses, device identifiers, timing and volume), never the content. Details in the privacy policy.
